This high-speed craft is the biggest air-cushion ship in the world. Air-cushion ships provide an opportunity to increase the length of beaches, accessible for landing, from 17% (conventional displacing ships) to 70% of global coast line.

Designation

Transportation of combat material and advance troops regiments by sea, landing on unprepared shore and fire support of landing force. Transportation and laying mine obstacles.

Armament

ANTI-AIRCRAFT MISSILE. Four packages of portable missile complex “Igla-1M”.
 
ARTILLERY. Two sets of 30 mm automatic gun mount AK-630 with 3000 shells load and one MR-123-02 firing control system.
 
UNGUIDED MISSILES. Two sets of 140 mm launcher MS-227 with 66 shells load and one DVU-3 firing control system.
 
MINES. One set of removable equipment for laying from 20 to 80 mines, depending on their types.

Navigation system

The craft is fitted with all necessary navigation equipment that provide crafts steering, her way calculation and supplying of navigation data to consumers.

Communication

To provide communication with shore bases, ships and aircrafts semi-automatic communication system R-784 is installed on the craft which comprises:

• SW transporder;
• MW-UHF transporder;
• Equipment for ultra high-speed transmitting;
• Automatic command-control system;
• Receiver NAVTEX “Morena-1”.
