Passenger Air-Cushion Craft "IRBIS"
The hovercraft "Irbis" is designed for the year-round transportation of 28-32
passengers or of 3 tons of cargo on rivers, lakes and within a 30 mile area along
seacoasts in waves up to Sea State 3.
The craft can operate in various environments: at ambient temperatures from -40oC to
+40oC, wind velocities of up to 15 m/s, across shallow water leading onto land at
upgrades of up to 4 degrees, over snow, solid and broken ice.
The craft is ecologically sound for low-density, water-impregnated grounds (e.g.
permafrost and fish spawning/feeding areas) owing to minimum on-ground pressure.
The craft doesn't need port facilities, as it settles on lightly equipped landing places.
The craft can be transported by railway.
The craft is fitted with radio, navigation and life-saving equipment. Aircraft-style
armchairs are provided for passengers. Air conditioning, WC, bar and freezer is also
an option.
