The ship is intended for guarding of the sea state borders and economical zones.

Main engines and diesel-generators

The main engines are three high speed reversible diesel engines operating on the shaft line of its own.

The electric system of the ship is fed by three diesel-alternators generating three-phase 380-Volt 50-Hz.

Hull

The hull and superstructure are welded structures. The basic material of the hull is low alloy steel. Aluminium-magnesium alloy is used for the superstructure, platform, partially for the transverse bulkheads and light recessed bulkheads.

The independent cathodic protection system is applied to protect the hull against corrosion.

Weapon systems

Gun mounts: one 76.2 mm and 30 mm automatic guns. To hit air target with portable AA missiles, provision is made for a special combat station for the operator. Sixteen complexes are stowed in a special room.

The radar system is a gun fire control system.

Navigation and communication systems

The ship carry all the necessary navigational aids to proved for the ship control, dead reckoning and safe navigation as well as to compute and give navigation parameters to the consumers.

To communicate with the shore bases, ships and aviation, provision is made for equipment operating in MF/HF and VHF bands, in telegraphy and telephone modes. Also, there is an intercom loud-speaking and announcing system.
