Inflatable liferafts are used to save people in case of ship sinking. Up-todate rearch
and development guarantee continuous improvement of liferaft's design and their conformity to
international standards and regulations.
The system of inflation supplied with the liferafts allows to put them into service in
a very short time. Liferafts can be operated at a temperature from -30oC to
+65oC.
Many years of liferaft operation, high customer assessments testify to their reliability
and effectiveness.
Liferafts are designed to be used on ships with area of navigation II and II-SP with a
distance from the shore:
- in the open sea, up to 50 miles, distance between ports up to 100 miles;
- in the closed open sea, up to 100 miles, distance between ports up to
200 miles.
Liferafts are tested according to the requirements set up by the IMO. Materials and parts
are tested in the ... laboratory that has been certified by the State Standard of Russia.
Liferafts have the Certificate of Conformity of the State of Russia, they have been tested by
the Sport Ship Registry of Russia, all technical documentation has been approved by these
organizations.
Liferafts have two independent inflation chambers. They guarantee that liferaft will stay afloat
if one of the chambers is damaged. Besides two chambers, liferaft has an inflatable floor that
may be filled with a supplied pump. Liferaft is packed into a soft valise where it stays during the
whole period of exploitation.
Liferafts has a feature that allows to turn it over in a case when after inflation it sits on the
water upside down. A ladder is provided by the entrance in order to facilitate boarding.
One of the modifications (PS-8D) is supplied with an automatic inflation system that switches on as
the liferaft hits water. In this case, there is no need for manual staring line.
